2025 Impact Report for The Accessibility Clinic Inc.
In 2025, The Accessibility Clinic Inc. continued advancing access and independence for individuals with disabilities while navigating temporary capacity constraints and achieving meaningful organizational milestones in equipment acquisition, community engagement, local funding support, and organizational development.
Volunteer Tutoring and Direct Support Services
During 2025, the organization recorded approximately 258 volunteer hours, reflecting a 20 percent decrease from 2024 due to temporary health-related limitations affecting key service providers. Despite reduced capacity, services were prioritized for individuals with the highest needs to ensure continuity, safety, and quality of support.
Durable Medical Equipment and Assistive Technology Access
The organization received two donated power wheelchairs, including one full-standing power wheelchair and one power wheelchair with a seat riser. One device was donated by the family of a deceased military veteran, and the other resulted from a prior device mismatch that prevented effective use by the original recipient. With support from a City of Winter Garden municipal grant, the organization is coordinating redistribution of these devices to a local family demonstrating financial and functional need.
Organizational Capacity and Financial Management
In 2025, organizational leadership completed Financial Management Training for Nonprofit Professionals through the University of Central Florida Center for Public and Nonprofit Management. This training strengthened internal financial oversight, budgeting practices, and grant management capacity, supporting responsible stewardship of public and philanthropic funds.
Community Engagement and Fundraising
The organization experienced increased individual and business donations and successfully hosted its first annual community event, Unlocking Access: A Celebration of Disability Solutions. The event received support from local businesses in Winter Garden and Mount Dora. While initially planned for a Winter Garden venue, the event was ultimately hosted in Mount Dora due to venue availability. Planning is underway for a second annual event.
Grant Development and Funding Progress
The organization applied for multiple county, city, and private foundation grants in 2025. A key milestone was the organization’s first awarded municipal grant from the City of Winter Garden, affirming local investment in accessibility-focused services and strengthening future funding opportunities.
Looking Ahead
As capacity stabilizes, The Accessibility Clinic Inc. will focus on restoring volunteer engagement, expanding partnerships, and leveraging early funding successes to scale prevention-focused accessibility and assistive technology services across the community.
